On the matter of Treason

by DAVID BROWN | CLEARNFO.com | June 30, 2019

Most people have a sense of what treason is, but this is based in common law, which does not apply here in the USA for treason. Why? Because most of the founders of this country were guilty of treason against King George III under common law, so they put in a special restrictive definition of treason in the US Constitution under Article Three. What this means is that it is almost impossible to convict anyone of treason in the USA: See the Opinion of Chief Justice Marshall (August 1807) Key arguments in the Burr trial.

Section 3 defines treason and its punishment. (‘Only’ and ‘levying’ are two key words here.)

Treason against the United States shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.

The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.

NewsGuard

by DAVID BROWN | CLEARNFO.com | January 20, 2019

In an effort to regain control of the narrative, NewsGuard will be on your phone and browser soon. I’ve heard that you will not be able to remove it on certain browsers and devices — there will be no opt-out. The trick here is for our ruling class to tell the masses what is good news and what is not. If you visit an approved news site like ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, NYT, etc., you will get a nice green rating… other sites will have either a yellow or red rating to warn you that what you are reading is ‘FAKE NEWS’. The point here is to condition you –like Pavlov’s doggy– to always seek the green light. It’s an emotional signal. This will allow the political ruling class to more effectively herd their livestock to the correct way of thinking, while putting their competition out of business. If they can get away with this thought control gimmick, I’m sure something like Google’s Dragonfly and China’s ‘social credit’ system will be soon to follow here in the West.

BTW: The Smith-Mundt Act of 1945 prohibited the use of propaganda against our own citizens here in the USA; however, The Smith-Mundt Modernization Act of 2012 now makes it legal for the US State Department –this includes the CIA– and the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) to use propaganda here on US Citizens. Yes, your Democrats and your Republicans voted this into law.

The Trust Project: Big Media and Silicon Valley’s Weaponized Algorithms Silence Dissent
Given the Trust Project’s rich-get-richer impact on the online news landscape, it is not surprising to find that it is funded by a confluence of tech oligarchs and powerful forces with a clear stake in controlling the flow of news.

After the failure of Newsguard — the news rating system backed by a cadre of prominent neoconservative personalities — to gain traction among American tech and social media companies, another organization has quietly stepped in to direct the news algorithms of tech giants such as Google, Facebook, and Microsoft.

A Bad Choice and the Right Choice

by DAVID BROWN | CLEARNFO.com | November 18, 2018

A Texas tale in my county, and not too far from where I use to live. Sorry two people had to die, but this should be part of the risk-calculation when you attempt to rob a gun-toting Texan. In Texas, you just never know who is packing a firearm. Not an easy prey unless you are in a GUN FREE ZONE, where most of our children are warehoused during the week.

Montgomery County Police Reporter (November 18 2018): Late Saturday afternoon two black males attempted to rob four persons in an apartment at the Landmark at Spring Cypress in the 3200 block of Spring Cypress. One of the victims was armed and shot both suspects. One died in the stairwell as he tried to flee the other died at Memorial Hermann in The Woodlands. Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.

Important interview with Dr. Paul Craig Roberts by Dr. Julian Charles
(Published on Saturday, 28 May 2016 21:24)

Dr. Paul Craig Roberts

Dr. Paul Craig Roberts

from The Mind Renewed

“Remain” or “Leave”? What does the UK’s EU Referendum—scheduled 23rd June—really amount to? Is it simply the opportunity for UK citizens to decide if Britain should stay in the European Union? Or is it something of greater significance, with broader and more serious implications? And just what is this thing called the EU anyway?

Joining us, once again, to discuss these questions is Dr. Paul Craig Roberts, former US Assistant Secretary to the Treasury for Ecomonic Policy, who explains the EU’s beginnings as a project of the CIA, and assesses its current role as as an anti-democratic tool of corporate control. Whether or not a majority “leave” vote will actually lead to Brexit, Dr. Roberts argues that a decisive rejection of EU membership by UK citizens could embolden other EU member states to follow suit, thus precipitating the break-up of NATO, and in turn, bringing an end to Washington’s crazy designs for a New World Order.

Accountable Government

by DAVID BROWN | CLEARNFO.com | April 14, 2016

Ground Zero

Ground Zero

Everyone seems to have their pet peeves or core issues when it comes to politics: race, jobs, abortion, education, ‘fill in the blank’. I’m mostly a libertarian since I just want to be left alone and I leave almost everyone else alone to do as they please. Everyone else’s rights end where my nose begins and of course this goes both ways. Live and let live, etc. And over the years, I’ve looked at government spending and abuse. I’ve noted that the more money you give to the government, the less money and freedom for everyone else. This is always the case despite your politics. But it’s more than money, since government has a monopoly on force and violence and can do many other things that would be illegal for the average citizen. Government has set itself up with special powers, but it is really not that special since it is just a collection of people much like any corporate body. But without the special powers of violence, force and without the discipline of a balance sheet or income statement, it is not constrained by the laws of economics as are all those subject to its control. Thus, we have a powerful and potentially evil group of men riding herd over the rest of us. Without the constraint of law or our constitution, there would be nothing to slow down or stop its natural growth in power, scope and size until one day –like a tumor– it consumes the body that feeds it; and it too will die.

So my basic political formula goes like this: More power and money to the government = less power and freedom for the individual.

This is the prism I use to view my politics. Many disagree with this assessment. They feel that government is here to take care of the poor, the needy, to build roads and bridges and to make sure we all behave. The government in a real sense for these folks, is like the big Daddy or Father of the family of humanity and many in government see this as their job too. But without constraints on government the men who control government will naturally be turned over to their own delusions and desires and we all suffer. This is always the case. So what to do? Well, you could have a set of fundamental laws and principles that are immutable; designed to constrain this beast we call a government, and we have such a thing called the US Constitution. While not perfect, it has mechanisms built in for change. All laws in this country by definition must therefore be based on this founding document or they are by definition illegal. In fact, all our government officials are required to swear an oath to defend and protect this document as a requirement of their employment. So there is no one in this country who can legally take away the rights, liberties and freedoms guaranteed by this document and we are thus said to be a ‘Nation of Laws’. The laws are there to protect us all. This includes the majority and the minorities. The majority for example cannot vote to take away the rights, freedoms or the property of the minority, or even those of a single individual, no matter how popular it might be. So it is a surprise for many to discover that this country is not a democracy and never has been a democracy; because in a democracy two wolves and a sheep could vote on what to have for dinner, and the sheep likely wouldn’t fare so well. In a republic –like we have– the sheep’s rights as an individual would be protected.

But even with all these protections in law, if you have a nation of people without morals or character, you will find you have created a government in your image who likewise has no morals or character, but unlike you, this government has a monopoly on power and force and so, is no longer constrained by anything but its own selfish desires.

This is where we find ourselves today.

Part of being a moral person with character is to hold yourself and your government accountable.

  • This means when your government lies you into wars that kill millions of innocent people, you must take a stand and hold this government accountable.
  • This means when your government murders in cold blood, in broad daylight one of your presidents, you must hold this government accountable.
  • This means when your government spies illegally on its citizens, you must hold the government accountable.
  • This means when your government lies to you about the attacks on 9/11, you must hold those responsible accountable; otherwise they will conclude they can do the same thing again.

Panama Papers a PSYOP?

by DAVID BROWN | CLEARNFO.com | April 06, 2016

hand-998957_640

When you read or hear sensational news or any news for that matter, please take the time to check it out if it is important to you. The recent release of the so called ‘Panama Papers’ is just such a case. It originally looked like we would get some good, hard evidence against some of the folks floating illicit money around for their own benefit to avoid taxes and the citizens they were ripping off. However, on closer look, we see very, VERY suspicious patterns emerging:

  1. This huge cache of data was only released to a select few news agencies (it should have been released to everyone);
  2. Only a small fraction of this cache was released;
  3. The names associated were mostly the enemy list of the USA;
  4. The amounts of money are very small based on what I know; generally in the few millions or 10s of millions not the 100s of millions or billions;
  5. They are attempting to smear many on this list that had no direct connection to the monies: For example, on his show today (4/5/16), Rush Limbaugh directly blamed the evil ‘Communist / Dictator’ Putin for getting rich off of hiding stolen money from his citizens, but the evidence I’ve seen points to Putin’s child hood friend, not to Putin, and the amounts are trivial compared to what Putin could and likely would try to hide.

So this is a PSYOP in my humble opinion. Who benefits? Look at the Drudge headlines below and you tell me….

THE PLAN: US Counter-Insurgency

Excellent article below by Tony Cartalucci concerning the ‘Showdown in Oregon between Armed Ranchers and Federal Agents’. Tony provides us a real plan that we can use effectively. To be honest, I really didn’t want to read this long article thinking it would be a pain and of small value, but I know Tony as a thoughtful writer so gave him the benefit of the doubt.  I’m glad that I did, because this has provided me the outline for action that I have been looking for.  Like so many, I’m tired of sitting here on the sidelines bitching and watching as our freedoms guaranteed by the constitution are subsumed by Corporate-Insurgents who have infiltrated our government, our schools, our media and our money system.

Based on my default positon on the status of the U.S., it was a little confusing for me to read Tony’s insurgency and counter-insurgency, since I tend to reverse the roles; but after reading this fine article, I agree with Tony.

Tony’s depiction is that the Insurgency are the forces that are trying to take over our country and the counter-insurgency would therefore be us the good citizens of the USA. My default position has always been that the insurgency took over our country way back in 1913 with the creation of the Federal Reserve and the 16th Amendment; so for me, those who want to wrest the control of this country back from private bankers and corporations are the insurgents. In many ways, it doesn’t matter whether you are the insurgency or the counter-insurgency since many of the tactics are similar, but I now tend to agree with Tony that we, the patriots are the counter-insurgency trying to rid our Republic of these interlopers who have taken control of our money, our government and have busied themselves shredding our constitution for the past 103 years. While it is true that the insurgents have also taken control of our media, our schools and our universities, they nonetheless can be seen as insurgents since we are the people living here on the ground suffering the abuse of the insurgents. I may have spent way too much time on this difference, but if we intend to rescue our Republic and our freedoms, we must take seriously the real things we can do in the real world to make real, tangible differences; after all that is what the enemies of freedom have been busy doing with their foundations and think tanks while we have been busy raising our families, working and paying taxes and of course watching Football, Sitcoms, etc.

EXAMPLE:

“Laws and regulations are designed to prevent independent local institutions, services, and economies from springing up and competing directly with the corporate-insurgency. Farmers in America have been fighting laws seeking to disrupt and regulate out of business, local farmer’s markets. Similar laws in regards to “intellectual property rights” seek to stifle the emergence of independent technological innovation and personal manufacturing. Understanding the greater implications of these laws should provide us a greater impetus to organize and find the means of circumventing them.”

I think Tony Cartalucci has provided us some good ideas on how to push back on those who seek to destroy our freedom.

Showdown in Oregon between Armed Ranchers and Federal Agents: How to – and How Not to Fight Tyranny

Guns

by DAVID BROWN | CLEARNFO.com | Dec 10, 2015

Guns

Guns

Those of us who have studied political history, are well aware of the state’s fear of an armed citizenry; and of the tyrants who first seek to register and then disarmed their subjects at every opportunity to cement their absolute power and control. Today is no different.

Here in the USA, we are fortunate that our founders gave us an unambiguous right to hold and bear arms and that this right shall not be infringed.

So on one level—overlaying all other levels— the state has a natural desire to increase its power, while the citizens have a natural desire to retain their self-determination and therefore reject the growth in the power and scope of the state at their expense. This is one level all people capable of critical thinking can agree. This contest of power can create extreme positions at either end of this battle.

But now –at a lower level—we have the practicality of arming our citizens. So what to do? Shall we allow or require that all citizens hold and bear arms? Some libertarians and anarchists would say it is none of our business and I agree with the spirit of this statement. But I have known certain people who shouldn’t own guns mostly because of a lack of training and more importantly a lack of respect. There are others who have a violent nature and should likewise not be operating a firearm.

Still here in the Good Old US of A we have people who are afraid of firearms and shudder at the sight or even the thought of their neighbor owning such a deadly weapon. It is my opinion that most of this abject fear is the result of ignorance, which can be cured by safety training and a few days at the firing range. What I have found is that most people who are afraid of firearms, tend to become the greatest supporters once they have had the opportunity to actually use a firearm properly. It feels good and is in fact addicting.

And so today we read about certain people –president of Liberty University– saying everyone should be armed; and there is a case in Georgia that supports this proposition: In 1982, the Kennesaw City Council unanimously passed a law requiring heads of households to own at least one firearm with ammunition. Crime went to zero. And certainly the historical facts prove that if someone at the San Bernardino Christmas party was allowed to carry a firearm, 11 of the 14 dead would still be alive and 13 of the 17 injured would have been unscathed.

But I am not convinced that everyone should own and/or carry a firearm though I would welcome a move in that direction.

Bottom line is that we all have the right, but I think we should all be trained in gun safety and practice shooting on a regular basis. Should the state require this? Certainly not, nor should the state seek to limit or infringe on our right to hold and bear arms.

9-11: NIST & FEMA, Accessories After the Fact

by DAVID BROWN | CLEARNFO.com | Dec 10, 2015

While most now understand the official story of 9-11 is a logical and physical impossibility, Richard Grove provides irrefutable evidence (below) that both the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) participated in the criminal cover-up of the attacks on 9-11. This means that the heads of NIST and FEMA are accessories after the fact to murder and should therefore be put on trial for their crimes.  It is important therefore to realize that these institutions CANNOT be trusted and are a real part of the criminal cabal currently taking America apart piece by piece while their masters terrorize the world with murder, mayhem and chaos.

I‘m guessing many of my friends “lean left,” yet they aren’t rabid “gun grabbers.” That’s one reason why I wish pieces like this simply dropped the divisive tone; it doesn’t add any value. Present the facts and give people an opportunity to reconsider what they’ve been led to believe, without ridiculing them, whenever possible. …Now, all of that said, this is a nice, short video on the correlation between our “gun culture” and murder.
