Joseph Atwill (often called Joe Atwill) is an American independent scholar and author best known for his highly controversial thesis on the origins of Christianity.
Background: Atwill spent part of his youth in Japan, attending St. Mary’s International School, a Jesuit-run military academy where he studied Greek, Latin, and the Bible. He later studied computer science in college and co-founded several software companies before shifting focus to biblical and historical research around 1995.
After college (where he studied computer science), he co-founded software companies in the 1980s, including Ferguson Tool Company (with early IBM programmer David Ferguson) and Amalgamated Software of North America (ASNA). Around 1995, he sold his shares and exited the industry, providing the financial independence to pursue full-time independent research on biblical studies and history.

The statement “You cannot have ethos without telos” captures a profound insight from ancient Greek philosophy, particularly Aristotle’s framework. Telos (τέλος) refers to the end, purpose, goal, or final cause of something—the inherent reason it exists or the ultimate aim it serves. Aristotle argued that everything in nature, human action, and society has a telos: an acorn’s telos is to become an oak tree; a knife’s is to cut effectively; a human life’s is eudaimonia (flourishing through virtuous activity).Ethos (ἦθος), in its original ethical sense (distinct from the modern rhetorical meaning of “credibility”), denotes character, moral habit, or the customary way of being that shapes virtuous behavior. It is the disposition formed by repeated actions aligned with excellence. Aristotle ties them inextricably in the Nicomachean Ethics: True ethos—good moral character—emerges only through actions directed toward the proper telos. Virtues (arete) are habits that enable us to fulfill our human purpose (rational, social flourishing). Without a guiding telos, actions lack direction, and character becomes aimless or malformed. You can’t cultivate genuine ethos (moral integrity) in a vacuum; it requires orientation toward an end worth pursuing. In modern terms:
Institutions (e.g., universities) falter when they lose a clear telos (truth-seeking vs. other agendas), eroding their ethical ethos.
Personal character similarly depends on purposeful living—drift without aim, and habits devolve into vice or emptiness.
The phrase isn’t a direct Aristotle quote but distills his teleological ethics: Character (ethos) is meaningless or impossible without purpose (telos). To build one is to pursue the other.

Administrative Oversight: Rothschild sent administrators to manage the settlements he supported, ensuring efficient use of funds and resources. His involvement was hands-on, earning him the nickname “HaNadiv HaYadua” (the Known Benefactor) among Jewish settlers.
Economic Development: He introduced modern agricultural techniques, such as vineyards and wineries (e.g., Carmel Winery), to make settlements economically viable. This created jobs and attracted more Jewish immigrants seeking sustainable livelihoods.
Scale of Contribution: By the early 20th century, Rothschild is estimated to have invested millions of francs (exact figures vary, but roughly equivalent to tens of millions in modern USD) in Palestinian settlements. His support helped sustain around 20 settlements, housing thousands of Jewish immigrants, primarily from Eastern Europe.
Zionist Alignment: While not formally part of the Zionist movement initially, Rothschild’s actions aligned with its goals. He later collaborated with Zionist organizations, and his efforts laid groundwork for the Jewish National Fund’s land acquisition strategies.
The Haavara Agreement was a 1933 pact between Nazi Germany and Zionist organizations, primarily the Jewish Agency in Palestine, to facilitate the emigration of German Jews to British Mandatory Palestine while preserving some of their wealth. Signed on August 25, 1933, it was a response to the economic boycott of Germany by Jewish groups protesting Nazi anti-Semitism. The agreement allowed Jews to transfer a portion of their assets to Palestine, but only indirectly, through the purchase of German goods exported to Palestine, which were then sold to recover funds.

On today’s stack of stuff, there are two stories I’d like to highlight. One is the the removal of the 24 X 7 news channel PSB (Patriot Soap Box) from DLive and the other is the Citizens’ Grand Jury with John Cullen presenting some important new insights, pointing to the origin and purpose of the ‘pandemic’ we currently suffering under.

While I can’t recite a detailed history of PSB, PSB seems to have been kicked off of almost every platform they have ever tried to build their content on– and now, DLive has removed their channel based on apparent false charges. Looks like DLive got the memo. I don’t like or agree with all the content on PSB, but there are a few excellent shows on the 24 X 7 news channel that are worth looking into; and in any event, they are ‘always on’ which is nice. Tim Kelly’s podcasts are some of the best anywhere on the internet in terms of well-researched, well-informed, dispassionate, objective information; but YouTube is ‘soft-blocking’ in an effective effort to limit his latest podcast with the following explanation:

Remarkably, Carroll Quigley’s ‘Tragedy and Hope’ and his ‘Anglo-American Establishment’ omit much about Rockefeller; and this is no accident. Even an insider like Quigley must be careful not to reveal too much or to touch on certain topics as he demonstrated in his 1974 interview with Rudy Maxa of the Washington Post.

Throughout the interview, Quigley incessantly signaled for the interviewer to turn off the tape recorder, and to be “discreet” and at one point even stated, “I don’t know if you want to put this on tape”… “You have to protect my future…as well as your own.” We may never know what Quigley was so afraid of or why he omitted so much of Rockefeller in his writings on the inside workings of the ‘network’.
So now we turn our attention to Josh G as he helps fill in some of the gaps Quigley and others left out of the story of the ruling oligarchs who control man’s destiny. Through careful research, Josh G helps us understand Smedley Butler’s excellent book ‘War is a Racket’ is in reality a limited hangout or a partial reveal to deflect attention; and Smedley’s testimony before Congress on the infamous Business Plot was Smedley playing a role. We further discover the implausibility of Smedley being a Quaker as claimed and make some excellent connections within the small group of men who control our world, and –up until now– have had the freedom to write our history.
Luckily, two of my favorite podcasters, Tim Kelly and Joe Atwell, discuss Josh G’s article ‘The Bogus Business Plot’; and as they do, a much clearer picture begins to emerge that will help all of us discover our real history and the authors of this history.

I’ve mostly avoided this topic only giving hints at my perspective (warning that it’s not what it appears) until I had time to properly sequence the events in light of the new information I had learned from reading the well-researched and documented writings of Quigley, Sutton and Perloff. To round-out your understanding of World War II, it is highly desirable –once you have read the above—to read Hitler’s ‘Mein Kampf‘ to get a complete view of the context. You will discover what you have been told by the American education system and the corporate media is a total and complete fabrication.
